where we started

GroundBreakers began in 2009 with a small church gathering in a barn in Kinston, North Carolina—fueled by a simple desire to worship, disciple, and serve. As the ministry grew, so did its reach. In 2012, GB helped establish a church in Kenya, followed by the launch of a school there in 2014 to serve local children and families. Back in Kinston, the church moved behind the Vernon Park mall in 2013, and later purchased its current home at 2600 W. Vernon Avenue in 2017. In 2018, Miracle Culture was published, capturing the heart of GB’s faith journey and value for the Holy Spirit. With years of ministry and missions experience, GB Global officially launched in 2023, expanding outreach worldwide. In 2025, GB Global was licensed as an official organization in Kenya, further deepening our commitment to international missions and local empowerment.

where we're going

Rooted in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19–20), we believe that every person deserves the opportunity to hear the Gospel and experience the transforming love of Christ. Our mission is to reach across borders, cultures, and languages with a message of hope, and to equip and empower local believers to lead sustainable movements of faith within their own communities.

Since our beginnings, God has expanded our reach far beyond North Carolina. Today, we are actively engaged in ministry across multiple continents, with long-term missions and partnerships established in both Kenya and Kyrgyzstan.

Our vision is to see lives transformed by the power of the Gospel, communities strengthened by practical acts of service and compassion, and nations reached through the faithful witness of God’s people. Through prayer, partnerships, and a commitment to the Word of God, we strive to be a bridge of hope in a broken world—until every tribe, tongue, and nation has heard the name of Jesus.
